One of those times when you both find the moment mutually amusing. The soldier caught my smile at the officiousness of the changeover. He no doubt felt the same but perhaps should have refrained from smiling in front of his fellow soldier. A lovely moment to have captured.
The Élysée Palace is the official residence of the French President. It was completed in 1722, it was initially built for Louis Henri de La Tour d’Auvergne. The palace was used as the office of the French President for the first time in 1848.
