Rue Rosiers Paris on a busy Sunday lunchtime - My new post is a chapter from my book 'A Dream of Paris' https://nealatherton.com/?p=12375 Please copy and post to read #paris #travel #kindleunlimited #france #7tharrondissement #eiffel #photography #parisrestaurant
Cloud formations have been 'painted on' today - really beautiful, now a gorgeous sunset #westonsupermare #sunset #somerset #somersetlife #seascape #clouds #olympusphotography #photography www.nealatherton.com
Sad to hear of the passing of David Crosby. I was not one for loving his solo work, his writing was just too introspective and meandering for me. It was his musicianship and vocal harmonies that shaped the music that has endured for me. Without him the sound of the Byrds and CSNY would not have been. Saw him with CSNY at Wembley Stadium on their famous gig in 1974. Although Neil Young dominated that show and then headed off into the night afterwards to bring the band to another split, I have an abiding memory of Crosby driving the finale of ‘Carry On’ with his superb guitar work. With Graham Nash at the Free Trade Hall it was more two friends by the fireside chilling out. It showcased his remarkable harmony abilities. Clearly a difficult and complex character he was not in a great place (again) with his cohorts in the latter stages of his life - with Neil Young he really burnt his bridges. But I am glad of his influences that made a lot of superb work possible. Once again after all these years we are left with memories.
The beauty of the frozen North - Lancashire has some stunning scenery and this landscape is around Withnell village near Chorley. Taken from Whins Green Kitchen, a vegan/vegetarian restaurant with stunning views, a great favourite of my son Ben. #lancashire #withnell #landscape #snow #winter #whinsgreenkitchen www.nealatherton.com
